A proud mom . . .

Today is Hunter's last day of pre-school. He was so excited this morning! He asked that I put a little note in his book to his teacher that she leave our number for ALL of his friends so he can have play dates this summer!

It has been fun to watch him grow and he has learned so much. Not ever having a four year old, I am not sure what is expected, but I am very proud of him. He can spell his name, we even have our last name almost down, he can count to 50, and he knows all the basic shapes and colors. On our way to daycare I always ask him when his birthday is, he knows our home number, Troy's cell phone number, my cell number and Grandma Sue's cell number as well. He even knows our address. He is just a bright kid and I love him very much!

We have had great feed back from his teacher as well. She said that he is very helpful in class, shares well with the other kids (that feature doesn't work so well with little brother, LOL) and is just an all around good kid. I look forward to the new adventures next year!

Way to go Hunter!!! We love you!!!

Camping for Memorial Holiday Weekend

Yes we were brave and attempted to go camping for the holiday weekend. I wasn't thrilled with the idea since my fever just finally broke on Friday and nothing had been done to de-winterize our trailer. Of course all it took was Hunter with his cute big blue eyes to say, "come on mom let's go camping, it will be so much fun!"
We went up Ogden canyon to my parents spot up at the Eagles. Troy had to work on Saturday for a bit so at least I had a few hours to get the trailer ready. The weather held out most of the weekend. I must say that our trailer is no where near big enough for all of us and we still have a son coming to visit for the summer at the end of June! LOL! Here is TJ enjoying the new area rug . . .

Diesel is like a bull in a china cabinet. We were brave and decided to leave the kennel home for the weekend and just let him ride in the trailer with Jake and Charli. What a joke! The damn dog is not allowed on furniture at home, but apparently he forgot the rules when we went camping. He was on the bed, on the couch, and even on the counters trying to look out the window.

We started bed time last on Saturday so it was a circus! TJ is used to being in a dark quiet room, Hunter likes to watch a movie to settle down, so it took us some time to get the boys down for bed. TJ wasn't sure about the bed. We folded down the kitchen table and used Shelly's bed guard for him. The bed was far to big for TJ and he was up three times. Hunter's allergies were really bad so he was coughing most of the night. Needless to say I didn't get much sleep that first night.
Sunday the weather wasn't too bad so we got the dogs out and let them play for a bit. Diesel and Mille actually got along for the weekend. Much better on her territory than on his!
Millie had a bad belly on Saturday so she wasn't her normal self, but by Sunday she was back to her normal playful self and enticed Troy into playing with her toys.
I had a little bit of a melt down yesterday with all the dog hair, mud and mess in our trailer. My cute mom could see I was in distress so she took the boys and got them ready for bed in her trailer so I could have a few minutes to clean up ours before the boys went to bed!

I set up the play pen for TJ to sleep Sunday night since he is used to that. Hunter watched a movie in grandma and grandpa's trailer so TJ could go to bed in peace in quiet. Well once it was time for Troy and I to go to bed, we let the dogs in for the night . . . Diesel thought the table was still made down for a bed and jumped up. Shook the whole trailer, scared him half to death as he scattered across the table, over the side bench, narrowly missing Hunter's head, while he slept in the hide a bed, to get back to the floor. It was crazy!

Here are a few more pictures of Hunter I took during the weekend as well.

Jake and Charli got to have some outside time too! Jake is so funny, looking so pitiful!

The first time out is always the hardest, new routines, new beds, this year getting used to one very large dog! Hopefully the next time will be a little bit better.

Tree stumps and hanging in the pool . . .

Well I think that I am finally on the mend. My eye is almost back to normal and I no longer have a fever! Hopefully whatever I had is long gone and never returns.

Last Sunday we went to my parents house for the day. They had some tree stumps that needed to be removed. While the big boys were busy playing in the mud, our boys were hanging out in the back yard with Grandma.

TJ doing tricks on his bike . . .
Hunter was beat after a fun filled day at grandma and grandpa's . . .

I was waiting for TJ to fall asleep on the ride home, but he hates to sleep anywhere but in his own bed so he just chatted to Troy and I all the way. Silly boy!

Sick of being sick!

After going to the arcade last week my left eye got really red. I was thinking it was just allergies so went to bed and didn't think anything of it! I woke up Saturday morning with a goopy eye and it was so swollen I looked like a Chinese lady with a fat eye! I went through the weekend hoping it would get better and went to the eye doctor on Monday. I have a severe eye infection, worse than pink eye! The prescription he gave me, well the medicine should be made a gold because it was $75 for a small bottle that would only last me a week. Thank goodness for my friend Shelly, who has connections, could get me samples instead!

By Tuesday I was beat. I felt like I had the flu. I wasn't throwing up or anything, I just hurt everywhere! It took everything I had to make it through the day at work. By the time I got home I was ready for bed. I told Troy I would put dinner in the oven and lay down for a bit. Well I did just that, put dinner in the oven, took a nap, and forgot to turn the damn oven on! We had sandwiches for dinner instead! Troy took my temperature and it was 102. No wonder I couldn't function.

My eye is no longer red, but it' still swollen and seeping. I haven't been able to break the fever. This is my second day home from work and it is still 101.5, right out of bed. I rotate Tylenol and Motrin every 2 hours. My eye doctor said I should have seen drastic improvement by now with the drops. He thinks my body has been fighting an infection for some time and it festered with my eye and I need an antibiotic. My OB thinks its just a viral infection, keep with the eye drops to clear up the bacteria and I need to ride it out. Well this ride is getting really old!!! My OB said if I still have a fever by tomorrow to call him. Hopefully I don't, 3 days is long enough!

Troy has been really good. He has had to do double duty because I am in no shape to do anything. He works all day, comes home takes care of the kids, mows the lawn, and gets the kids to bed. He has even vacuumed the house and cleaned the shower! What a great hubby I have!!!

Birthday Party . . .

Tonight our family was invited to go to the local pizza parlor for a birthday party. Our friends Shelly and Bill have a daughter Shelbi who turned 5 today. The boys had never been to an arcade before, so it was quite an experience. Hunter wanted to be able to drive on a game that was a semi. He is so little still, that dad had to help. Of course TJ had to be a big kid too and get in on the action. Do you like how Hunter stashed his glasses? LOL!
Shelly got balloons for all the kids, TJ kept calling it a ball . . .
There was a flinstone car ride that TJ enjoyed, as long as the machine wasn't running. He just wanted to turn the stirring wheel. As soon as I put money it the machine for it to rock back and forth , TJ couldn't get out of there fast enough. If we just let him sit there he was content.

For dessert Shelly order slushies for all the kids, Keigh and TJ decided to share at the basketball machine and Hunter had to show me his blue tongue.

Unfortunately I didn't get any pictures of the birthday girl. She was having too much fun with her four friends! The boys sure had a good time though!

I did get a picture of Hunter with my great friend Shelly though! She is one of a kind and I love her to death. Our family is extremely lucky to have such a great person in our lives! We love you Shelly, thanks for a fun family night out!

Today is also my sister's birthday! Happy Birthday Melissa! When I got home from work today Hunter told me all about calling Aunt Melissa to wish her happy birthday.

It's been a nice Friday to finish out the hectic week! I am glad the weather is suppose to be nice again this weekend so we can be outside and enjoy the sunshine!

TJ's in a big boy bed . . .

I finally convinced Troy to pull out the toddler bed for TJ Friday night. He took down the crib and put together the race car bed. We definately got our monies worth, it was Trav's, then Hunter's and now TJ's. Suprisingly TJ went to bed with no problems and stayed in his own bed all night long. This afternoon he even took a nap and didn't move. I hope the transition continues to go smoothly. LOL!
After I checked on TJ, I peaked in on Hunter, who had been a good boy and got to watch Transformer's in our bed . . .

As my dad used to call it . . . eye lid theater!

A gushy tire, Hunter got his own shopping cart and planting trees . . .

I took the boys to Ogden on Saturday to get our haircuts while Troy was at work. TJ of course liked his 2nd haircut about as much as the first. I don't have any pictures to post because Troy was at work so I had to help hold TJ. I must say it was quite a production!

We had just left the shop and were on our way to my parents trailer for lunch when I hear this horrible sound coming from my car. Of course I pull over, and low and behold I have a flat tire! Or has Hunter calls it "a gushy tire!" Okay I am sure there are a few of you girls out there that would just take care of the situation, well I am not one of those mechanically inclined kind of wives! Troy was in Tremonton at work, my parents were up Ogden canyon at their trailer. So thanks to Melissa and Jeremy for coming to our rescue. Jeremy had my car ready in no time. I was so frazzled that when I got into the car, I just put it in D to go. I couldn't understand why I wasn't going anywhere. I got out of the car and looked at Jeremy, he just quietly walked over to my car and released the emergency brake! DUH! I tell you I don't handle those kind of situations very well. I didn't dare drive the freeway with a donut tire, so needless to say it was a very long drive from Ogden to Tremonton taking the back road.
On our way through Brigham I stopped at Smith's for a few things. Hunter has always wanted his own shopping cart, but each time we have stopped they have all been used. Well on this day, one was readily available and Hunter was excited. Of course just like the big cart, TJ wanted inside . . .

Sunday was a much better day! We had some friends and my parents over for a BBQ, but before dinner we decided to plant some trees that Leann and Lane had given us. It will take a few years, but it will be nice to finally have some shade in our yard. We are hoping this weekend to plant a few more in our backyard. We have just been trying to get a game plan so Diesel doesn't trample them! Grandma Sue was so nice to jump in and help as well. I just stayed out of the way and took pictures! LOL!

Notice Millie off to the left, making sure everyone was doing it right!
