We are moving . . .

You got it, we are moving! Troy and I haven't said much because we really didn't know what our game plan was, but this past weekend we found a cute house in the middle of town. We have wanted a place with a bigger yard for the boys and dogs, so we decided to take the plunge and put our house up for sale the middle of May. Little did we know that we would sell our house in 8 days! We really should have had it together, but that's too easy. Troy and I tend to do things the difficult way! LOL! We are really excited. Once we get settled I will send out a mass email with our new address details.

On another happy note, Travis comes for his summer visit this weekend. I can't believe he will be 12 next week. He was younger that TJ (15 months to be exact) when Troy and I got married. He has grown into a fine young man.

We are also going to Bear Lake over the 4th of July with our good friends Robin and Carolyn. A tradition we started 10 years ago. It used to be just a few of us, we could haul all our crap in one truck. Over the years, our families have grown, more friends have joined and now we have our own little city for 4 to 5 days. It takes 3 trucks and several 4-wheelers to haul our shit to the beach now! Our families have grown so much that there are more kids and dogs than there are adults! LOL! That's okay, it's an annual trip that I look forward to every year!

So with all that is going on in the coming weeks, I probably won't update the blog. I know I will have some fun pictures from Bear Lake with the boys and I will be glad to share when we return.

Take care and I hope everyone has a fun few weeks and a very safe 4th of July!

The dinosaur park & lots of fun for Dad's day . . .

On Saturday we took the boys to the dinosaur park in Ogden. The boys loved it! It was a tad bit hot, but we took lots of breaks and drank a lot. Hunter's favorite part was in the musuem, when 2 life size dinosaurs growled at each other. TJ didn't know what to think of most of it, but the boys had a good time . . .
When we went outside and the dinosaurs started to growl, TJ's reaction was priceless . . .

Out in the park area was a guy with an owl, Hunter was so funny, "hurry mom take the picture!"

TJ could have cared less about the owl . . .We stopped for a minute for a frosty cold beverage, TJ is so grown up he has to do it all by himself . . .

Dad and the boys . . .

Here are just a few more fun pictures we took . . .

I think the sign says it all! Except it should be plural, "creatures". LOL!

On Sunday I decided to make a cake for dessert. Of course the boys had to help . . .

We went to my mom and dad's for a BBQ and enjoyed the pool since it was so hot. Uncle Todd and Aunt Peggy were in town. Aunt Peggy sure loves to play with the boys . . .

As a special treat, Uncle Todd let Hunter help move the car! The picture doesn't do the action justice because when Uncle Todd started the car and gunned the car in reverse I thought Hunter's eyes were going to pop out of his head! He was giggling the whole time! It sure was nice having them in town for a few days!

All in all it was a great weekend. Troy had both days off so it was extra special! My boys have a great dad and I love him very much!

A sprained jaw, ear lash and fun-e. . .

Can you believe it? I have a sprained jaw! I went to the oral surgeon and that is what he told me. Let me explain . . . on Thursday I got home from work and Hunter ran out to give me a hug. I picked him up and when I set him down he jumped and popped me right in the chin with the back of his head. I saw stars it hurt to bad! Of course Hunter was fine and wondered what was wrong. I thought he had knocked my front teeth out. I came inside to check my mouth to make sure my teeth were still intact and found that I couldn't open up my mouth really wide. Great, I thought, my jaw was locked. After about an hour of composing myself, I attempted to eat dinner. Huge mistake because it hurt to chew. So I skipped dinner. I didn't sleep much, I just couldn't get comfy and no matter what I did my jaw hurt. I got up on Friday and went to work like normal, but it was very uncomfortable to talk, my chin was very sensitive to touch and I still couldn't open my mouth. I called my dentist to get his opinion and he said since I was already in Logan, I better see an oral surgeon, just to make sure nothing was out a place or cracked and if it was, then the oral surgeon would be the one to fix it anyway. Well on a good note, nothing is cracked or out of place, but basically I have a sprained jaw, just like you can sprain your ankle. Here is the best part he says. . . don't plan on healing anytime soon, it will take 3 to 4 MONTHS for my jaw to feel better and for the swelling to go down! Neat huh?! I can still eat what I want, but it hurts like hell so I try to avoid it at all costs. I have great muscles relaxers for when I go to bed, and man do they work. I took one last night at 10 thinking I needed to give it time to take affect and I was nodding off folding laundry. LOL! I have been telling myself I needed to get back on weight watchers and start loosing weight again, at least this jaw incident will help the process along! Hopefully I can loose of few pounds since I won't be shoveling food in my mouth every 10 minutes!

The other day at dinner while I was getting TJ and Hunter's plates ready, Hunter was itching his ear and I asked him if he was okay. He told me he had an ear lash. Oh really? What's an ear lash I asked . . . well mom, he starts, it's like an eye lash, but instead it's when your hair falls out and goes into your ear, it's called an ear lash! Trying not to laugh, I thanked him for the explanation! So for those of you who get a random itch in your ear, remember, you might have an ear lash! LOL! I love my boys, they say the cutest things!

TJ is learning to talk more and more each day. Today the new word is fun-e. We were sitting at the table getting ready for breakfast and TJ just blurted out fun-e. I repeated the word to make sure I heard him right, and he smiled. I have learned with TJ that when you say something to TJ and we get it right (trying to translate his babble) he smiles and makes a small laugh! Like good job mom you finally understand me! So all day long TJ has been going around saying fun-e, fun-e. He is so dang cute!

Special Visitors . . .

Lisa and Gracie came for a visit tonight! It was so fun to play with Gracie and visit with Lisa. She and I have been friends for seven almost eight years now. Before we had kids we got together every Thursday night for dinner, and shared a big bowl of popcorn to watch ER. Then came Hunter and we still got together every week, I just put her to work. She helped with dinner, bath time and bedtime. Then Troy and I had TJ and we still got together but not as often because she was pregnant with Gracie and I had my hands full with two boys. Once Gracie was born and they moved into their new house, life got busy and there went our weekly visits. Lisa and I still chat almost every day, but now our in person visits are even more special because we can share our children. Lisa you are a very special person and I love you!

Of course we had to pull out the camera and take lots of pictures. Hunter was so excited he had to be the first to hold Gracie . . .

Diesel and Charli had to check Gracie out . . .

Then Jake had to have his turn . . . Diesel gave Lisa a nice warm welcome. LOL!Hunter wanted to take a picture so he took one of Gracie and I . . .

Hunter never left Gracie's side, here is one where he made her smile, she is so dang cute!

It took a minute, but Gracie finally warmed up to Troy too . . .

Here is Gracie and Charli just hanging out on the floor . . .

Troy likes to wrestle with Diesel and Hunter decided to get in on the action . . .

What a way to spend an evening! I look forward to many more Lisa!

Haircuts in the front yard . . .

Troy works so dang much that we just use the clippers on him in the front yard when he needs a haircut since he doesn't have time to make it to Kellie's every 5 weeks like the boys and I. TJ was doing so good just hanging out on dad's lap that we got brave and took the clippers to his head as well. He was an angel, didn't freak out a bit. Nothing like the episodes at Kellie's shop. LOL!
After seeing TJ get his haircut Hunter wanted his done too.

Here are the boys and their new doo's . . .
Then of course the boys had to enjoy popcicles . . .
All in all it was a great day! Grandma and Grandpa came for our weekly Sunday dinner and we got to enjoy the sunshine! Ihope everyone had a nice weekend like we did!
