I just love the daycare the boys go to! The gals are so cute with the boys and are always planning fun activities. Today the boys were having a teddy bear picnic at the park. TJ wanted to take Pooh Bear and Hunter took his little friend Frank. Gotta love it! LOL!!!!

Happy birthday . . .
I want to wish my sister a very happy birthday on Saturday! The boys and I enjoyed the sunshine so much I didn't even bother to turn the computer on. I called to wish Melissa happy birthday Saturday morning. She was treating herself to a pedicure!
Today would have been my Grandma Whitney's 89th birthday. Grandma passed away July of 1996 and I met Troy August of 1996, I am saddened that she never got to meet my cute hubby, she would have loved him. It comforts me to know that she is up in heaven looking down on us!

Mother's Day Weekend 2009
What a fabulous weekend! It was Troy's weekend off too, which made it even better. On Friday we had Melissa, Jer and the kids, LaRue and Gary over for a BBQ. Hunter and TJ love playing with their cousins. While getting ready for bed, the boys brought me cute little sacks they had decorated at daycare. This is what I found inside . . .
A hand painted pot by Hunter with flowers he planted himself . . .
Here is the flower pot that TJ painted and planted, notice the cute little sack it came in . . .
Hunter is as bad as Troy about keeping secrets, here is the darling magnet he made at pre-school and gave to me on Thursday after school . . .
Before our BBQ Friday night Troy spent the day putting in fence posts for the back yard. Saturday morning after we all slept in a bit, Troy was outside putting up the wood slats to enclose our yard. It looks so nice. Updated pictures will be coming soon I promise!
The boys loved it, they thought it was so cool! The Sheriff was handing out "junior deputy stickers" to the kids. TJ's stayed on all night long! LOL! While being at home with Troy, Hunter earned $5 helping pick up dog poop. Of course there is always silly gadgets to buy, so Hunter used his money (with a little bit of hlep from mom) and bought a Spider Man light necklace, of course little brother wanted one too! They love them!

Saturday night we headed to the Logan Derby. Troy worked in the pit for some friends while the boys and I hung out in the stands. It was the cheapest date I had been on in a long time. Our friend had passes for Troy and I, TJ was free and Hunter was $4 bucks! I couldn't have asked for better kids, they were so good and we had a wonderful time! In heat 3 a muscle car (#28) came out and all of us thought, this car is going to take it . . .
Well looks are not everything, because here is the car upside down after just three hits . . .The boys loved it, they thought it was so cool! The boys were up bright and early Sunday morning, even after being out late Saturday night. LOL! That's okay we all enjoyed the morning, Troy cooked us breakfast, then we headed outside to enjoy the sunshine. Right after lunch the boys took a nap so they were pleasant for Grandma Sue and Grandpa Steve's visit that afternoon.
We needed a cheese grater a few weekends ago but I didn't have one (I always buy shredded cheese), thanks to my cute parents I have one now! I want to take a minute and thank my cute mom! She is wonderful, caring, loving and the best mom/grandma we could ask for! We love you very much!
After dinner on Sunday, Hunter decided that he wanted to try and ride his bike without training wheels, he did so good! He was so excited! Of course he only wants dad's help riding his bike, that's okay with me, whatever he is comfortable with works for me! I couldn't have asked for a better weekend!

Inspiration for the morning . . .
My cute friend Mindy sent this email to me today so I decided to share with everyone.
Mindy, you are amazing, you always know when to say the right thing! I love you! I needed this today, even being gone a week you knew my attitude needed some improvement!
One day I decided to quit....
I quit my job, my relationship, my spirituality.....
I wanted to quit my life.
I went to the woods to have one last talk with God.
"God", I said. "Can you give me one good reason not to quit?"
His answer surprised me...
"Look around", He said. "Do you see the fern and the bamboo?"
"Yes", I replied.
"When I planted the fern and the bamboo seeds, I took very good care of them. I gave them light. I gave them water. The fern quickly grew from the earth. Its brilliant green covered the floor. Yet nothing came from the bamboo seed. But I did not quit on the bamboo. In the second year the Fern grew more vibrant and plentiful. And again, nothing came from the bamboo seed. But I did not quit on the bamboo". He said. "In the third year, there was still nothing from the bamboo seed. But I would not quit. In the fourth year, again, there was nothing from the bamboo seed. But I would not quit.
He said. "Then in the fifth year a tiny sprout emerged from the earth. Compared to the fern it was seemingly small and insignificant. But just 6 months later the bamboo rose to over 100 feet tall. It had spent the five years growing roots. Those roots made it strong and gave it what it needed to survive. I would not give any of my creations a challenge it could not handle. He said to me. "Did you know, my child, that all this time you have been struggling, you have actually been growing roots. I would not quit on the bamboo. I will never quit on you. Don't compare yourself to others." He said. "The bamboo had a different purpose than the fern, yet, they both make the forest beautiful."
"Your time will come," God said to me. " You will rise high!"
"How high should I rise?" I asked.
"How high will the bamboo rise?" He asked in return.
"As high as it can?" I questioned.
"Yes." He said, "Give me glory by rising as high as you can."
I left the forest and brought back this story. I hope these words can help you see that God will never give up on you........
Never regret a day in your life.
Good days give you Happiness.
Bad days give you Experiences.
Both are essential to life.
Keep going...
Happiness keeps you Sweet,
Trials keep you Strong,
Sorrows keep you Human,
Failures keep you Humble,
Success keeps You Glowing,
But Only God keeps You Going!
Have a great day! The Son is shining!!

Happy Birthday Grandpa Lane . . .
Today is Grandpa Lane's birthday so we all headed to Layton for a BBQ. Poor Troy worked until 6:30 this morning and the boys and I had him up before noon so he could go us.
We didn't stay long since Troy had to be back to work by 5, but it was nice to get together, and let the cousins play. Of course we can't leave Grandma's house without pictures! I love that TJ and Grandpa have the same crinkled forhead! TJ wasn't very happy because in a previous picture with all the cousins, TJ's poor leg got pinched between Grandpa and the arm of the chair. For once Hunter wasn't sticking out his tongue. LOL!
While we were eating Leann brought out her lovely hat that she will be wearing at the camp fire this summer. Ya gotta love it!

It was nice to see Uncle Craig and Aunt Sandi too. With any luck we will see each other again soon up in the hills camping!
